They're very, very safe cars. Well engineered, six airbags. There are some accidents, that no one is going to walk away from, even if you're driving a Hummer. I personally know only one person who died in a major accident in a Mini, and we was over 70 years old, racing at Willow Springs Raceway in Southern California. Of the many accident pics I've seen of Mini's, every one walked away, and some of those cars were totaled.
