Ah, a great, great car. Don’t know what your friend didn’t like, but this is a zippy, zippy car, with great handling and very good gas mileage. I have as much fun driving this car (Mini Cooper S) as I did in a BMW Z3(M). Drives great at 60-90 mph, I’ve had mine up to 127, still handled well. If your friend (or you) want a true muscle car, though, this is not it…there is more raw power in a Corvette, for instance, but I’d rather drive my mini any day.

No car is dangerous it is the Drivers that are the Dangerous ones.Besides Mini has a pretty good safety rating it is made by BMW

People who know absolutely nothing about Mini's should stay out of this thread.

They're very, very safe cars. Well engineered, six airbags.

There are some accidents, that no one is going to walk away from, even if you're driving a Hummer. I personally know only one person who died in a major accident in a Mini, and we was over 70 years old, racing at Willow Springs Raceway in Southern California. Of the many accident pics I've seen of Mini's, every one walked away, and some of those cars were totaled.

I have driven many of these and yes they are very dangerous to both the drive as well as to the passengers.

They handle great but they will turn on a dime and that will cause you to loose control, stay away from them.

We just had a 23 year old girl who hydroplaned and broke her neck & died instantly in a 2004 mini-cooper. She wasn’t driving fast… the car just caved.

No car is really dangerous anymore what with all the government safety regulations. Just drive safely and you’ll be fine.

Any car is dangerous. It is all up to the driver and their awareness about them selves. Also if you respect your self and your driving they you will do the same for the others.

Is a mini cooper a dangerous car?
I want one and everyone i know says its a death trap because its so small and if you crash you’ll be dead. soo are they right?
