I have a Mini and want to install an I pod adapter to send and hear the song throug my stereo sistem and also want to install a hands free device, since the stering wheel has the option already, but on the manual it says that I have to install both through the dealership, because it can affect the function on both, is this true or is it just a way to get more bussiness??

It can be installed at any car stereo shop. You can but what you need through Mini Mania.
